Children Background Wallpaper Biography
I am an illustrator living in Totnes, Devon with my partner Jim and daughter. My two main passions are screen printing and collecting vintage fabrics from the 50s, 60s and 70s. My screen prints start off as ink drawings which are then added to screens for printing. I enjoy the process of drawing free hand and love combining my screen printing with vintage fabrics and making quirky toys. My partner Jim has a background in art and he screen prints the majority of my designs onto paper whilst I print the fabrics.We're a real team here! My background was initially in music - I went to music college and then taught for years before realizing that I wasn't actually doing what I really wanted with my life. I took the scary plunge into seeing if I could make a living with my designs and it paid off.I feel incredibly lucky to be able to work from home doing what I love. I've had cards and posters published by The Art Group and also regularly design for Clothkits. Nine of my prints are currently being sold in Heals. I sell my work through my own various websites and also to Independent shops all over the world.
